This stuff really works,
I got this with the whole solvere kit, but this ended up being the only thing I actually used. There are 60 pads drenched with 2% salicylic acid toner. I don’t have really bad acne, just annoying little bumps on my face along my jawline and the occasional breakout when the hormones are flaring like mad, but as soon as I use this, those disappear, but they reappear as soon as I stop using this toner. I also have the Clinique clarifying lotion 2 (I think? or maybe 3? It’s the purple bottle), but I think that is mainly just rubbing alcohol which is why it makes your skin feel so cold. That kind of works because it’s killing the bacteria on your skin, but Solvere’s REALLY works. It is kind of expensive, but you get fast results. I also tend to re-use pads because they’re not really that dirty after just one use, so I’ll use the other side later on.
The other stuff in the kit was ok, but the toner I cannot live without. The cleanser was orange clearish (looks like neutrogena) and smells like melted horse hooves or something (not that I know what that smells like). The gel stuff with the kit really works, too, but it made my eyes sting, so I hated using it, and the moisturizer doesn’t come with spf, which is extra important to have if you’re going to be using a lot of salicylic acid products because it peels your skin and your new skin is exposed. I think if you have pretty bad acne, I would recommend the full kit. I think I didn’t end up using everything because it was too drying on my skin and I didn’t really need it, but everything is a pretty large size, the products are high-quality, everything has 2% salicylic acid, and it’s definitely worth a try.
